Jeffrey Lynn BrowerNovember 11, 1954 ~ June 25, 2017 (age 62)
Jeffrey Lynn Brower 62, returned to his loving Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah from injuries due to a tragic car accident.
He was born November 11, 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William Ortell and Colleen Brinkerhoff Brower.
He married the love of his life, his sweetheart Lisa Marie Pyne on December 28, 1988 in Salt Lake City, Utah, later they were sealed together for eternity in the Logan, Utah Temple.
He grew up in Kearns, Utah. He graduated from Kearns High. He worked for Kennecott, then after an accident he went to school for accounting. A desk job did not suit him so he became a construction planner, realtor, and finally a plumber. After a motorcycle crash he went back to college to get a degree in Hydrology/geology. He went on to learn hazmat and every summer for the last 15 years he could be found working at the fire camps throughout Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Oregon, California, Arizona, Nevada and his last fire was in South Carolina. Jeff loved supporting the firefighters on the line. Any day in the field doing water samples, rain gauges, or other field work was a good day to Jeff.
Jeff and Lisa moved their family 15 times before they settled in Huntington. Here Jeff was finally home.
He loved his family very much. He always regretted not having the opportunity to be more present in his oldest three children's lives. He loves them very much and was proud of each of his 8 children! He loved spending time with his beautiful wife. He loved just holding hands while watching a movie or reading. He did not like her to be very far from him. He loved teaching us all about geology, science, watersheds, soils, etc. He turned everything into a homeschool lesson. He loved camping, site seeing, museums, water, soil, rocks, flowers, the desert, the mountains, trains, tigers, Mickey Mouse and Ford. He would laugh so hard at some movies we had to tell him to be quiet. He was one of the kids most times! He loved to learn and was a wonderful teacher who enjoyed sharing his knowledge.
He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the Bishopric, where his favorite part was being over the primary. He loved children, and teaching them. He served in many other calling throughout his life. He and Lisa were currently serving as service missionaries managing the Home Storage Center. They both loved that calling. He loved the gospel, his scriptures and he loved to study them. He loved sharing his love of the gospel with everyone he met.
He enjoyed having conversations about everything with anyone who would take the time to chat. He loved life and was always heard laughing and joking with his family and friends, he knew just how to bring a smile to everyone's face. He will be greatly missed, our hearts are saddened but we know that this is not the end, we will be seeing him again, he will greet us all with open arms!
