Life Legacy
Carren Shakespear Durfee
Elmo-Carren Durfee’s departure from this life began on May 14, 2012 after a long battle of bone marrow cancer, at the age of 70. She was born in Cedar City, Utah and raised in the small town of Tropic, Utah. The daughter of Alston and Orvilla (Lefeaver) Shakespear, both deceased.
She married Roland F. Durfee on June 4, 1960 in the Saint George LDS Temple. She was blessed with 5 children, Kolene Durfee, Juanita (Wayne) McCandless, Terri Ann (Val Jean) Johnson, Robert (Jessica Marsh) Durfee, Roland Dean (Monica) Durfee, she is a grandma of 24 and great-grandma of 17.
Farewell service will be Monday, May 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elmo LDS Chapel (Center Street & 1st East). A viewing will be held prior to the service at the church from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held in the Elmo City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
