Amy Sorenson

Emery County/East Carbon/Price-On July 4, 2012 Amy left this earthly plain to be free from the illness and pain she was enduring. She was born on June 22, 1922 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William and Amy Catherine Sorenson Line. She married Berdell Bishop on May 29, 1946, he died on March 3, 1989, married Kendall Gardner 1993, he died August 1994, married Veloy Sorenson September 1995, he died April 3, 2003.

Amy grew up in Carbon County having lived in Nine Mile, Columbia, and Price. She had lived a very full life thru her love of horses, nursing, fishing and most of all family and friends. Music was a staple and she loved to sing and dance.

She is survived by her daughter, Judi Bishop, Gwen Allen, stepchildren: Kathy (Grant) Bean, Ray (Annie) Sorenson, Ranae (Dee) Fillmore, Don Gardner, Clark Gardner, Jeff Gardner, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren, 2 step great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, and step-mother, 3 husbands, son, Bill Bishop, daughter, Penny Lynette Bishop, 4 grandchildren, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary (680 East 100 South, Price.) A viewing will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price and also on Saturday from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. prior the service at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Price City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Family and friends may sign the guest book and share memories of Amy at www.fausettmortuary.com.
