Alan Anderson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of  Alan Anderson on August 8, 2025.

Alan was born October 4, 1953 in Salina, UT to Ted R Anderson and Shirley Ann (Miller) Anderson

He married the love of his life Merri (Carol) Akin on September 21, 1974 in St. Mark’s Cathedral Salt Lake City, Ut

Alan devoted himself wholly to his family and friends. His happiest moments were when he was surrounded by his entire family, sitting around the table just talking, or playing games. He was always so excited to go camping or ride his 4X4 on the mountain or the desert. He loved taking a trip to Hawaii to celebrate his mother’s 80th birthday. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan and never missed watching a game.

Known for his acts of kindness and exceptional generosity towards family, friends, neighbors and strangers alike. He would help anyone with anything, and you would be glad he did, because he did everything meticulously and with all his heart.

Alan was a dedicated, hard worker and enjoyed each job starting as a mechanic and eventually becoming the Regional Director in the trucking industry.

His legacy continues with his sons Colby Alan and Cory Aaron; three grandchildren, Denver Alan, Jada Dawn, Kinsley Erin; great grandson, Kingston Paul. He is also survived by his wife, Carol; brother, Blake (Sharilyn) Anderson, Riverton, UT., sisters, Becky (Sam) Moracco, Colorado Springs, CO., Sherida (Mark) Merrill, Westminster, CO., Mindi (Scott) Labrum, Castle Dale, UT.

Preceded in death by his parents, Ted R. Anderson and Shirley Ann Miller.
