Cheryl Thoma

Cheryl Lavonne Gillespie Thoma FERRON- Cheryl Lavonne Gillespie Thoma, age 66, passed away on to the lord and her husband on August 30, 2013 after a short battle with breast cancer. She was born on October 19th, 1946 in Inglewood California to Jack Robert and Marie Ann Koopman Gillespie. She was the middle of three children. She graduated from Redondo Union High School in Redondo Beach, CA in 1964. She met her husband Dennis Thoma while working at a pizza parlor in Gardena CA and they would be married for 29 years until his death in 2006. Together they had one child Susan, two grandchildren Raven and Eli and a son-in law Gene who all loved her very much. Cheryl and Dennis moved to Ogden Utah in the early 80's and resided there until 2006. Together they had their own newspaper route for several years and they would deliver snow, rain or shine 365 days a year. They also were the neighborhood cat rescuers and were responsible for feeding and caring for a large colony. She moved from Salt Lake City to Ferron, Utah in 2010 and was loved and cared for by the wonderful nursing staff at Emery County Care. Her friends there made her feel at home. She was known for her sweet, innocent, and playful way of being. Arrangements are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
