Curtis Caldwell

May 2, 1957 — September 9, 2013

Curtis C. Caldwell "Pooh" FERRON- Curtis C. "Pooh" Caldwell left this world suddenly and joined many loving family members on September 9, 2013 in Orem, UT. He was born May 2, 1957 in St. George, UT to Pat E. and Laverde Cannon Caldwell. He married the love of his life, Carla Wild, on November 7, 1987 in Ferron, UT. His family moved to Ferron when he was in 1st grade, and he spent the rest of his life there. After high school, he began working in the coal mines where he made many friends. He took great pride in being a coal miner and was a proud member of the UMWA. He loved working in his yard, watching the grass grow and raising vegetables to share with family and friends. He was an avid golfer and waited patiently for that phone call every Sunday morning. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially while camping, riding four-wheelers, and his back yard BBQ's. He is survived by his wife, Carla; children: Jessica Caldwell, Ferron, Willie McCourt, Ferron, and Tiffany (Russ) Bloomer, Price; grandchildren: Sabrina, Dezmon, Liam, Cassidy, Gabriel; brother/sisters-in-law: Don (Star) Wild, Ann (Ken) Carroll, Sharlene (Jon) Chiaretta, Suzy (Les) Mortensen; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bill Caldwell; father- and mother-in-law, Owen and Norma Wild; and baby grandson, Jordan McCourt. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ferron Stake Center (555 South 400 West). There will be a viewing Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary (720 North Center Street, Castle Dale) and on Friday at the Stake Center from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to the services.
