Darwin Lee Hunt was born August 15, 1938 in Price, Utah, the firstborn of Delbert Eugene Hunt and Sylvia Chidester. He passed away January 29, 2022 in American Fork, Utah. He married Nancy Pierce, later divorced. Married Joan Henrie December 13, 1963 at Manti, Utah. He grew up in Green River, Utah and graduated from Green River High School. He attended BYU. He graduated from an electronic school as valedictorian of the class. His teenage jobs included running a dairy with his Uncle, Stanley Hunt, growing state fair award winning watermelons, and working at his father's service station. At an early age he began delivering fuel to uranium mines in the San Rafael Desert. He developed a great love for the desert and found a life long passion for truck driving. He served in the Utah National Guard where he was honored as the Guard Soldier of the year. He retired after working for Henrie Construction as a supervisor, truck driver, heavy equipment operator and hot plant operator. He served in many callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints including serving in the California Mission, being a stake missionary, a ward missionary, stake music director for decades, bishop's secretary, high councilman, and being a worker at the Manti Temple. He followed his father's example of service to others. He willingly shared his musical talents, singing in choirs, performing in theatrical productions, and most of all singing at funerals of family, friends and acquaintances. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brother-in-law Richard Brock, sister-in-law Carol Benson Hunt and in-laws Ephraim James Henrie and Jennie V. Barney Henrie. He is survived by his wife Joan, sons, Brian Lee, Troy Lee, and Eric Lee, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, brother and sisters Erma Jean Brock, Charles Barry Hunt and Marilyn Mae Every and uncles Stanley Hunt and Leif Dahlstrom. He also leaves behind flocks of overstuffed aerodynamically challenged doves, sparrows, starlings and song birds and feral cats who dined at the Hunt Porch Buffet.
