Don Morlan

Don Morlan Ferron, UT: Don Morlan , 78, passed away peacefully at his home on March 23, 2011. He was born November 7, 1932 in Niobrara, Nebraska to Clarence and Martha Morlan. He was raised in O'Neill Nebraska, the fourth of 11 children. After living in California for many years, Don moved his family to Emery County to work at the Hunter Power Plant in 1975. Don was a member of the Operating Engineers Local Union No. 3 for 44 years. He retired from the Emery County Road Department in January 1995. Don enjoyed spending time with his family, coaching baseball, boy scouts, riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, 4-H, rodeo, traveling, wood working and volunteering at The 777 Christian Ranch. Don never met a stranger. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Emery County. He is survived by his Wife: Jean; Children: Kenny (Toni) Morlan, Doug (Garnet) Morlan, and Karen (Rob) Sterbutzel; 7 Grandchildren; 7 Great grandchildren; Siblings: Jerry, "Don's twin" Dale, Shirley, Colleen, Mickey, Peggy, & Bob, numerous nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Elaine, Billy (Sam), and Gene. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Community Nursing Services. Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 26th, 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Ferron, Utah. Viewing will be on Friday, March 25th from 6-8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary, Castle Dale, Utah. Interment will be in the Ferron City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Friends and family may sign the guest book and share memories of Don Morlan at www. Fausettmortuary.com.
