Donna Peterson

Donna "Cherrel" Jacobsen Peterson passed away on March 30, 2018 at the age of ninety in Price, Utah. She was born November 11, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the daughter of Kendloss Garnet Jacobsen and Katherine Annie Solomon Jacobsen. She graduated from South High School, attended the University of Utah, and worked at Fort Douglas during WWII. She was married to Merrill Richard Peterson in the Salt Lake Temple on February 13, 1946. They raised four children. She and her family lived in several states due to her husband's employment with JC Penney. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many leadership callings. She was a talented homemaker and a devoted wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Dean Jacobsen, sister Ellen Simpson, her husband Merrill Richard Peterson and twin great granddaughters Brindee and Harlee Peterson. She is survived by her sisters: Valerie Nelson (Jack) and Deanna Wells (Jay), her son Merrill Richard Peterson Jr. (Debora Rachele) and her daughters: Connie Linn Felice (Michael), Kathleen Ann Ursenbach (Brent) and Karen Marie Jacobson (John), 10 grandchildren, 23 1/2 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. The service will be held at the Millsite Ward (35 West 200 North) in Ferron, Utah on Saturday, April 7, 2018. A viewing will be held at 11:00 am followed by funeral services at noon. Interment will be at the Ferron City Cemetery. We wish to thank the staff and nurses at BeeHive Homes and Symbii Home Health & Hospice in Price, Utah for the loving care she was given until the time of her death as well as Emery County Care and Rehabilitation Center at the onset of her needed care.
