CLAWSON - Dorlynn Nielson, age 82 passed away September 23,2015 at her home in Clawson. Dorlynn was born on December 26, 1932 in Lasal, Utah as the first of three children born to Lynn and Dora Day. She married her sweetheart, Stanley Nielson on August 6, 1950 in Moab, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS temple. She was raised in Lasa,l Utah. After she married, she and Stanley lived in many different places. Those places were Pittsburg California, New Plymouth Idaho, Carbondale Colorado and finally settling down in Emery County Utah. Dorlynn had many interests and hobbies. She loved to sew, crochet, and bake. She also loved archery and flying. She was one of the first women to fly solo in Emery County. Aside from being a homemaker, she started up her own fabric store, Grandmas Fabric in Castle Dale and Ferron. After that she worked for Coast to Coast for several years. Dorlynn is survived by her brother Garry Day (Sandy) of Prescott, Arizona; three children: Terry Lynn Young of Wellington, Utah, Michael (Robin) Nielson of Roy, Utah and Randy (Jamie) Nielson of Clawson, Utah; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents (Lynn and Dora), husband (Stanley) and one brother (Larry). A viewing will be held Sunday, September 27, 2015 at 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Fausett Mortuary of Castle Dale (720 North Center). Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Blue Hills LDS Ward Chapel in Ferron (35 West 200 North) and a viewing one hour prior to services.
