Earl Jensen

Biography Earl D. Jensen Ferron- Earl D. Jensen, 77, passed away with his wife by his side on January 23, 2013 in Ferron. He was born in Clawson on February 23, 1935 to Darrell and Hildred Henrie Jensen. He married his soul mate, LaRene Leslie on February 6, 1954 in Ferron. They shared their life together for 58 years and had two wonderful daughters. Earl and LaRene began their first two years of their life together in Price and later moved to Murray where they lived for nine years while Earl was employed painting trailers. They then moved to Ferron where he leased a cow ranch for five years and also worked for Tracy Jeffs while trying to farm. They later bought a ranch in Emery where they spent the next 31 years. Earl enjoyed working with the cows and farming. Earl retired in 1995 when he and LaRene became snowbirds, traveling in the winter to Arizona and coming home to Ferron in the summer for 15 years. In 2010 they sold their fifth wheel and bought a home in Ferron. Earl's favorite moments were spent 4-wheeling with his wife, family and friends after his retirement. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Earl is survived by his wife LaRene; two daughters, LaNora Johnson and LaRena Ann (Ted) Swasey all of Ferron; grandchildren, Bill Cody (Kranesa) Anderson, Brandy (Briton) Powell, Cole (Brandy) Anderson, Amanda (Brandon) Brown, Melissa (Chase) White and Darrell (Jessy Ross) Swasey; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother, Henry C. Jensen. Preceded in death by his father and mother; two infant sisters and sister-in-law, Sandra Jensen. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Blue Hills LDS Chapel (35West 200 North, Ferron, Utah). There will be a viewing Saturday, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in the Ferron City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
