Elaine Jensen

November 15, 1916 — March 28, 2013

Elaine Jensen Riverton / Price: Elaine Jensen, 96, from Price, Utah, was reunited with her late husband Wesley and entered into eternal peace on March 28, 2013. She was born to the late Alice and John Henry "Bud" Jones on Nov. 15, 1916, in Monticello, Utah, and was raised one of six siblings. As a lifelong resident of Carbon County, she contributed greatly to her community. She attended Carbon H.S and later C.E.U. where she studied business administration - later receiving the honor of "Most Distinguished Alumni". Elaine later started and was executive director of the Price Senior Citizen Center. One of her many contributions at the Center was to organize and lead several international senior tours. She was a true world traveler. Upon retirement, Elaine was a volunteer "Pink Lady" for Carbon County Hospital for 9 years. Toward the end of her life, she moved to Riverton to be closer to family. Her friends at "The Cove" were like her second family. As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, she took pride in her service to her faith and it was there that she shared many of her talents, including the comfort she gave through the gift of her beautiful voice and the talents of her craftwork. To know Elaine was to love her. As she touched the lives of countless people, none felt the depth of her unconditional love more than her family, which she held dearest to her heart. Survived by her 3 sons: Brent, Kent, and Ronnie (Susan). Her devoted grandchildren: Christine (Ben) Southwick, Julie (Jay) Erwin, Jennifer (Tim) Pettus, Wesley (Heidi) Jensen, Meghan (Pat) Ramirez, and Adam Jensen. Elaine was also blessed with 15 great grandchildren whom all held a special place in her heart. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Riverton 10th Ward (12830 South 2700 West - Riverton, Utah.) Viewing will be from 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. The graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Price City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Shriner's Children's Hospital is appreciated. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
