Evanel Nelson-Rexroad

October 5, 1935 — May 18, 2014

Evanel Crawford Nelson-Rexroad Evanel was born October 5, 1935 in Ferron, Utah to Zenna and Carlyle Crawford. She had two brothers, Donald Crawford, Paul Crawford, and a sister Faye Curtis. She returned home to our Heavenly Father May 18, 2014. She attended Emery County High School. She married Neil Nelson in 1953, living in Utah and Washington State before settling in Boise, Idaho. Evanel had a productive career in office management and accounting having spent 25 years as Accounting Business manager for Morrison-Knudsen Construction Company (world's largest) retiring in 1999. She and Neil divorced in 1982. In 1989 she married Larry Rexroad also preceding her in death. Evanel cherished her family and friends with a genuine expression of unconditional love and admiration. She had a quiet strength that few possess. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, going to garage sales, visiting with family and friends, and cooking for everyone. All who knew her, knew the same sweet, kind, and caring person. She truly appreciated the kindness extended to her by friends and wonderful neighbors. A blessed gift from God to us all, she will be missed. Evanel is survived by her brother, Donald, of Seattle, WA; daughter, Kathryn (Patrick) Boysen of Olympia WA; sons: Brad Nelson of Fairfield Idaho, Blaine (Kerry) Nelson of Boise Idaho, and Bryan (Cheri) Nelson; 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul of Ferron, Utah; and sister, Faye, of Richfield Utah. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Fausett Mortuary (720 North Center St., Castle Dale, Utah) at 2:00 p.m. with viewing from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the services. Burial will follow at the Ferron City Cemetery. A memorial service will be held for Evanel in Boise at a later date. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
