Georgia Anne Pope PRICE: Georgia Anne Pope, 85, passed away at her home in Price with her children at her side on November 13, 2015. She was born September 28, 1930 in Manassa, Colorado to Francis Edward & Harriette Rebecca Langston Thomas. She earned her bachelor's degree in education and taught elementary school for several years. She was married to David G. Pope on January 9, 1953 in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. They had 5 children. Georgia worked side by side with her husband for many years in their auto parts store. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many positions in the Church. Together Georgia and David served a full time mission in Tahiti. She was a beloved wife and mother. She was an avid reader and lifelong learner. Georgia loved flowers, hummingbirds, traveling, nature, and constant companion, Rascal, her silky terrier. Survivors include her children: David Glynn Pope Jr., Holly & Levan Hall, Tammy Lee Rigert & Todd Francis Pope, a sister Lynne & Dale Woolley, 9 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband David G. Pope, a son Michael Shaun Pope, her parents, sisters Patsy Elam and Faye Neil. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Price 7th & 8th Ward Chapel, 995 E 700 N, Price, Utah. A viewing will be held on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Fausett Mortuary, 680 E 100 S, Price, Utah from 6-7 pm and on Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the services at the church. Interment will be at the Cliffview Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Family and friends may sign the guest book and share memoirs of Georgia at www.fausettmortuary.com
