Grace Johnson

August 1, 1950 — May 20, 2019

Price, UT - Grace Marie Anderson Johnson, age 68, passed away May 20, 2019 in Price, Utah from a short, but courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 1, 1950, to John Phillip and Laura Belle Wayman Anderson in Price, Utah. She was sealed to Jan Eric Johnson March 11, 1970 in the Manti LDS Temple. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served as Primary President, Relief Society President, Young Women's secretary, and served in the ward library, and many other positions. She also took great pride in serving in the cub scout program. Grace loved to read and study the scriptures daily and enjoyed listening to and singing church hymns, but the light and love of her life was her sweet granddaughter, Hailey. Throughout her life she was employed in various occupations; telephone switchboard operator, dental assistant, a graduate of the Salt Lake School of Medical and Dental assistants. Grace was also employed as an administrative assistant at a local finance company and at a local auto dealership. Grace found most joy working as a teacher's assistant at Durrant and Wellington Elementary schools during the years her children were in school. Grace was dedicated and loved to attend her families activities: baseball, football, soccer, piano recitals, karate tournaments, school band performances, and her husband's band performances for dances. Grace loved genealogy, especially during the days of microfiche, reading scriptures and fiction mystery novels, scrap booking calligraphy and arts and crafts. She was genuinely loving, kind, and nurturing. She had the amazing ability to remember all details of family birthdays, names, deaths, and other significant events. Grace is survived by her husband, Jan, of Price; two sons; Gavin Johnson, of Richmond, VA; Ethan (Chelsea) Johnson, granddaughter, Hailey Marie Johnson; of Price. Also survived by her father, John and step-mother Rayona, of Wellington; brother in law, Rodney Wilde, of Price, UT; Sisters; Laura Lee (Duane) Cox, of Huntington, UT; Joleen (Paul) Huntington, of Orangeville, UT; Sandra (Boyd) Crowther, of Taylorsville, UT; Kara (Chaffin) Pullan, of Hurricane, UT; Camie (Doug) Stilson, of Orangeville, UT; Brother; Kelley Anderson, of St Petersburg, FL; Grace was preceded in death by her Mother, sisters; Bonnie Wilde, Gay Linn Anderson; Brothers Roger and Boyd Anderson.
