Gregory Bishop

Listen to Service Price: Gregory "Greg" L Bishop, 59, passed away at his home in Price on April 21, 2015. He was born in Price on Jan. 5, 1956 to Deone Oviatt and Bob D. Bishop. He attended school in Salt Lake and Price. He enlisted in the Marine Corp and served from 1974-1976 receiving an honorable discharge. While serving there he earned a Top Sharpshooter award. Greg was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He worked for many years in local coal mines and was working at the Westridge Mine and the time of his death. He loved music and was self taught on the guitar, he passed that along to his son Robby and they enjoyed playing together. He was a real practical joker and loved being involved in his children's lives. He was extremely meticulous about his surroundings and always wanted everything to be in order and in its place. Greg enjoyed watching old movies, discussing history and was looking forward to remodeling his home. He loved anything to do with the "Beatles". He is survived by his wife Stacey R Bishop and his children Travis (Desiree) Richardson, Robby (Traci) Bishop, and Katie Bishop, Michelle (Ed) Sanchez, Samantha (William) Bailey, all of the local area. Also surviving are his grandchildren Daniel (Kassie) Tucker, Sesceli Tucker, Julia & Erik Richardson, Reese Anne & Bryce Lyn Bailey, & a great grandson Xandyr Tucker, with a grandchild Ainsley Bishop and a great grandchild on the way. He is also survived by a sister Nanette Richardson and a brother Jeff Bishop, his father Bob Bishop, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Deone, grandparents Burt & Eliza Oviatt and Robert & Clara Bishop. Friends may call for a visitation at the Fausett Mortuary in Price Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 6-8 pm. Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 27, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home with a visitation an hour prior to services. Interment will follow in the Elmo City Cemetery under the care of Fausett Mortuary. Friends and family may visit and share a memory of Greg in the online guest book at www.fausettmortuary.com
