Janice Davis

WELLINGTON- Janice Alain Corey Davis of Tooele, Utah, Age 71 went home peacefully to her eternal rest on Saturday November 25, 2023 in Wellington, Utah with her two children at her side. She was born October 6, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Kenneth Marriaum and Norma Ruth Crawford Corey. She was a talented seamstress for Lady Lovely in the 70’s and then a licensed cosmetologist for many years after, revealing her heart to care for others and make the world around her beautiful. One of her dreams come true was being a business owner of “The Casual Touch Salon” for a season. Mom volunteered countless hours at Mountain West Medical Center and Tooele Valley Railway Museum, enjoying beautiful friendships along the way. She also worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Utah, where she retired after 10 years. Married to the love of her life Duane “Duey” Davis for 17 years and “beyond”, she enjoyed time with her grandkids and fur babies, gardening, crocheting, boating at Lake Powell, Fishing trips to Minnesota, Joe’s Valley and Yellowstone as well as several traveling adventures with various family members. She is survived by her daughter and two sons: Tami Bales, David (Missouri); Joe Weyland (Utah); Eric Davis, Amber (Iowa). Seven grandchildren Chelsi, JD, CJ, Alisa, Alexis, Lilly, Spencer and one great granddaughter, Isabelle. Her lifelong best friend, Suzie. Two bothers and a sister; Dale, Ron and Mitzi. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ken & Norma Corey, siblings; Ray Corey, Mea Adams and significant other Duane Davis. There will be a “Celebration of Life” in the spring of 2024.
