Jeanine Mathie

December 12, 1943 — September 7, 2022

Jeanine Dian Harding Mathie

Our kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt Jeanine passed away on her wedding anniversary September 7, 2022 from Alzheimer's Disease.

Jeanine Dian Harding Mathie was born on December 12, 1943 in Huntington, Utah to Delight Norell and Gene Thomas Harding. Jeanine loved being a coal miner's daughter and had a happy childhood. She adored her parents and two sisters, Carolyn and Merlene. She married Gordon Lee Mathie on September 7, 1963. They

created a life that she loved and were married for 59 years. She supported Gordon in every way and in every project, even the heavy lifting ones.

Jeanine was beautiful on the inside and out. She created beauty all around, from her home to her cabin, and the flower garden, bird garden, and vegetable gardens in between. She loved beauty and enjoyed being a hair dresser in her beauty shop, "Country Curl". She gave away more haircuts than she charged for, and if there

had been an award for fastest perm roller she would have won! She also enjoyed being a dental assistant for many years and loved teaching gymnastics at CEU.

She found joy in the simple things. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her everyday activities and shared that with everyone around her. She loved holidays and birthdays and decorating for all of them.

Her pride and joy were her three girls; Wendy, Lee and Heidi. And then her heart burst wide open with the birth of each of the seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was very dedicated to each calling she received. Jeanine was a person of faith and lived life serving others. She loved reading, studying, and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She saw the best in others and it was important to her to speak kindly about

other people. Always!

Matthew 5:4, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted".

Services will be held at the church building on 175 North 1280 West, Price, Utah on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Viewing from 11:30 am-12:30 pm. Funeral service at 1:00 pm. Live-streaming will be available on Fausett Mortuary Facebook page. Interment at the Huntington Cemetery.
