Keith Berensen

Keith Everett Berensen passed away December 30, 2017 in Price, Utah. He was born April 22, 1918 to James Henry and Venice Nelson Berensen. Keith was born into a large family being the third of fifteen children and grew up in Kenilworth, Utah. He married Mildred J. Arteberry and together they raised their two children. Keith worked at Independent Coal and Coke Company doing various jobs until he had an unfortunate accident on the tipple which caused the amputation of his lower leg. He then worked in the newspaper industry overseeing the distribution of newspaper to its many vendors and paperboys. After many years in the newspaper industry he took a position at the Carbon County Road Department where he retired. He was a resident at the Heirloom Inn until his passing. Keith is survived by his son Rick Berensen of Oregon; brothers Everett, Boyd, Carlyle (Pat), Dick (Pennie); sisters Billie Jean Schoenberger, Esta Lee (Joe) Mason, Carol Beeton and Carolyn Black. Preceded in death by his wife Mildred; daughter Jacqueline Kay Berensen;, parents James and Venice; brothers Brent, James and Clayton; sisters Marjorie Howard, Norma Larsen and Shirley Wood; brothers-in-law Lynn Larsen, Albert Schoenberger, Don Wood, Arlin Beeton, Allen Black and Howard Smith; sisters-in-law Florene Berensen, Louise Berensen, Norma Berensen and Lois Berensen. At Keith's request there will be no service. Burial at Price City Cemetery. We would like to thank Willow Jones for her care and compassion, and the team of CNS. Also a thank you to the wonderful, caring team at the Heirloom Inn for their compassion and care throughout his many years.
