Phineas Cook

August 17, 1941 — February 7, 2022

Phineas Reeve Cook rode off into the sunset on February 7, 2022 at the good ole age of 80. He was born to Phineas C. and Eliza Deane Johnson Cook of Huntington and married Dawna Wayman in the Manti Temple.

Reeve loves his family, genealogy, western movies, riding 4 wheelers and playing pinochle. He served in many church callings and was a very dutiful home teacher/minister.

He retired from Deer Creek coal mine after 33 years. He served with his "sweetheart" on a mission to Las Vegas, Nevada West and travelled, attending as many as 50 different temples.

Reeve and Dawna sold the Huntington "Homestead" and moved to Cache Valley about 13 years ago to be closer to three of their six children. In 2021, Reeve and Dawna celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

LOVED and honored by Reed (Monica), Doris (Ray), Ryan (Kristie), Shellie, Cory (MaryBeth), Florence (Brandon). Siblings: Jerrold 'deceased' (Judy), Chall (Annette), Blair (Pat), Lana (Bud).

A viewing will be held on Friday, February 11th, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Heritage Funeral Home, 620 North Main Street in Huntington.

Happy Trails!

Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery.
