Robert Frandsen

January 15, 1948 — June 17, 2015

Robert (Bob) Douglas Frandsen, age 67, passed away June 17, 2015, in his home with those he loved. Bob was born on January 15, 1948, in Dragerton, Utah, the third son of Bert and Ada Frandsen. Shortly after graduating from East Carbon High school in 1966, he joined the United States Air Force. He was trained as an aircraft mechanic and loved working on the F-105 Thunder Chief Fighter Plane and many others. His military service took him to Okinawa and Thailand where he became fluent in the Thai language. He was the recipient of the Air Force Commendation Medal and was honorably discharged in 1972. In 1977 working as a commercial window washer he fell 4 stories, partially paralyzing him for the rest of his life. He demonstrated his strong spirit and determination by learning to walk once again. Bob loved the outdoors and the many camping trips with his big brother Brent and family. In 1986 cupid's arrow hit its mark and Bob fell in love and married his "Darling Darlene". Darlene's parents, Frank and Eloise World, were hesitant to give her away, however in time Bob won them over with his love. Throughout their married life Bob and Darlene served in many church callings. Together they taught Seminary to those with disabilities and they oversaw the Young Single Adults in their stake. Bob served as a Ward Missionary, Home Teacher, and exemplified the calling of "Church Sunday Greeter". Bob had an unshakable faith in his Savior Jesus Christ. He always said that our most important lesson to learn in this life is to "Love One Another". He demonstrated this daily through his positive attitude and uplifting spirit. Bob is survived by his wife of 28 years, Darlene World Frandsen, his sister, Linda Rae (Brent) Duke and many nieces and nephews who love him dearly. Bob was blessed with a large and loving family. Their family continued to grow because of his and Darlene's genuine love and acceptance of everyone that they met, friends became family to them. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Ada Frandsen, and his two older brothers, Brent Frandsen and Garry (Cora) Frandsen. Special thanks to Conni Burnam (who lived, loved, and served them). Special family members, Lori Edwards and Teri Wright who were always there for Bob. Close friend and Aide, Holly Gregerson and all neighbors, friends, Price City Police, Emergency Medical Responders and Fire Department. We could not have survived without you ALL, in our lives. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Price 5th Ward LDS Chapel, 545 East 400 North, with a viewing at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in the Price City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Family and friends may sign the guest book and share memories of Bob at www.fausettmortuary.com.
