In Loving Memory of Rue Harold Bell

March 26, 1953 – August 25, 2025

Rue Harold Bell, a lifelong resident of Orangeville, Utah, passed away on August 25, 2025, at the age of 72. Known for his big heart, generous spirit, and deep commitment to faith and service, Rue left behind a legacy of love, humor, and hard work.

Born on March 26, 1953, Rue married the love of his life, Charlene Gordon, on July 10, 1976, and their union was later sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti Utah Temple in 1993. A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Rue found joy in every calling he was given- Young Single Adult Branch President, most recently a ward missionary, and especially as a scoutmaster, where his love of mentorship and adventure shone brightly.

Rue proudly served on the Emery County Sheriff’s Posse and was always up for anything involving the outdoors. He had a lifelong passion for trap shooting, deer and pheasant hunting, training his bird dogs, fishing, and riding horses — especially when he could share those moments with his grandchildren.

Rue dedicated over forty years of his life to Industrial Electric where he worked as a salesman and logged over three million miles driving on the road.

But more than anything, Rue lived to help others. Whether it was picking up hitchhikers, stopping to help stranded drivers, checking in on widows, or simply looking for someone in need, Rue never passed up a chance to serve. His generosity wasn’t for show — it was simply who he was.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene; children: Andrea (Don) Taylor, Katlin Bell, Kyle (Brandy) Bell, and his beloved grandchildren: Blake Taylor, Kesler Bell, Jocelyn Taylor, Haygen Bell, Luke Taylor, Kase Bell, Austin Bell, Kannon Bell, Annzlie Bell, Addison Bell, and Lyndie Bell.

He was preceded in death by his son Clayton Bell, parents George & Ann Bell, and brothers Philip Bell & Marvin Bell.

He will be remembered for his faith in Jesus Christ, humor, grit, compassion, and the way he made everyone — family, friend, or stranger — feel like they mattered.
