Shauna Gardner

December 14, 1952 — November 23, 2023

On 23 November 2023 Shauna Lee Palmer Gardner, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, left this mortal life to join her loved ones on the other side of the veil. Shauna Lee was born on 14 December 1952 in the Cottonwood Maternity Hospital in Murray, Utah to Elton Reed and LoaFae Heaps Palmer. She was the eldest child and the oldest grandchild on both sides of her family. Shauna Lee was later joined by sisters Susan Fae, Sheryl and Tamra Lynette. Shauna Lee was blessed with many talents in her life and was fortunate enough to be able to develop and share them with many people. She loved baking, singing, playing piano, making house floor plans on graph paper, and being a master crocheter. She had a beautiful soprano voice and was part of many choirs in her life. She was also a good actress that landed her the leading lady roles in high school and college. She received a Drama scholarship to Snow College, which is where she met the love of her life – Lyndon Ray Gardner. Lyndon and Shauna Lee became Leap Year Sweethearts. Shauna Lee loved telling people that she was married to the same man three times with no divorces. The first date and marriage proposal “marriages” were followed by their “legal” ceremony in the Salt Lake Temple on 8 September 1972. Shauna Lee always wanted to be a mother. She and Lyndon were blessed with four wonderful children to fulfill that dream. Jennifer Lee of Castle Dale, Valerie Denise (Lee Bishop Earl) of Price, Scott Reed (deceased) (Jenny Marie Dooley) of Castle Dale, Amylyn (Christopher Michael Boren) of Elmo. They were her treasure. They were blessed with six biological, one adopted and several by marriage grandchildren. There are also four great grandchildren. These were all of her buddies and princesses. Shauna Lee was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings in music and teaching. She loved teaching children and seeing them grow in the Gospel. Her testimony was strong and she loved sharing it. Shauna Lee is survived by her husband of 51 years Lyndon Ray Gardner of Castle Dale, children Jenifer Lee Gardner of Castle Dale, Valerie Denise Gardner Earl and Lee Bishop Earl of Price, daughter-in-law (which means that she is a daughter) Jenny Marie Dooley Gardner of Castle Dale, Amylyn Gardner Christensen and Christopher Michael Boren of Elmo. She is preceded in death by her son Scott Reed Gardner, her parents Reed and LoaFae Palmer, her in-laws Van and Georgia Gardner, Her grandparents and grandparents-in-law.
